President Macron Presented with BeFC Micro Biofuel Cell at Viva Tech

President Emmanuel Macron, a keen supporter of the Viva Tech technology trade fair did not hold back his enthusiasm when presented with with an example of BeFC’s disruptive, sustainable biofuel cell/sensor technology in June, 2023.

“Incroyable” (Incredible): President Macron's reaction, when presented with the micro biofuel cell.

Instead of a traditional handshake or a selfie, Clara Chappaz, Director of “La French Tech”, the French national technological ecosystem promoter, gifted the President with a BeFC biofuel cell.

BeFC’s core technology is a sustainable energy source – a biofuel cell/active sensing solution, which works like a battery, but can be safely disposed of in industrial compost. The product has attracted interest across the globe for its ability to provide energy for low-power applications sustainably and through its ability to link to BeFC active sensing modules which can capture data on a variety of variables including temperature, light, shock, Ph. as well as geo-localisation data.
