With a keen focus on bringing sustainable energy solutions to market, BeFC’s paper battery-alternative has been under the spotlight of La French tech ever since 2021. The technology was also a CES Innovation Awards Nominee in 2021 and 2022. This year, on January 4th, 2022 at CES 2022 held in Las Vegas, BeFC took part in an important press event held by La French Tech where a strong emphasis on sustainability solutions and the startups driving it was visible.
BeFC CEO and cofounder, Dr.Jules Hammond presented the company’s biofuel cell during the press event in front of various members of La French Tech. The presentation was followed by various discussions about our technology and how it can help reduce a negative environmental impact.
The Organic Innovation contributing toa better Environmental Transition
The French Tech Green 20 program is specifically designed to support and promote the most promising Greentech startups championning the ecological transition.
During this breakfast briefing the French Ambassador to the US, Philippe Etienne, opened the session by presenting the French strategy on decarbonisation. Clara Chappaz,the newly appointed Director of La French Tech, highlighted the programs and support in place for the green tech ecosystem. Joining these policy makers were three companies which included BeFC, NepTech and Innovafeed which presented promising work in three major clean tech sub-sectors: greenchemistry, sustainable energies and agri technologies.
