Serge COSNIER is currently a Research Director at CNRS within the Department of Molecular Chemistry at the Université Grenoble Alpes, France. He graduated from a PhD in chemistry from the University of Toulouse, France in 1982.
He was also a Post-Doctorant (Alexander von Humbold) at the University of Munich, Germany. Serge’s activity is focused on the molecular electrochemistry and bioelectrochemistry with the development of biological sensors, bioenzymatic fuel cells and bionanomaterials based on carbon. He has authored over 373 publications, 3 books and holds over 25 patents.
He is member of the Council of the Bioelectrochemical Society (2016-2023) and Specialty Chief Editor of Frontiers in Analytical Chemistry. Serge was elected member of the European Academia in 2013, member of the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) in 2019 and of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) in 2021.
